WWE Punishing Sasha Banks For Injuring Paige During House Show

Things don’t look good for Sasha Banks right now.

While The Boss of The WWE seemed to be one of the favorites to win The Women’s Royal Rumble match heading into the historic event, she has been systematically derailed storyline wise after accidentally injuring Paige during a house show match. The incident occurred when Sasha Banks hit Paige with a drop kick, but it appears that Paige wasn’t prepared for the move.

Paige has been out of action since then and while her fans seem to hope she will return to the ring sometime in the future, it seems like WWE is forcing her to retire due to her injury. In fact, it is being said by multiple outlets that Paige’s injury mirrors the one that ended Edge and Stone Cold Steve Austin’s careers . With that being said, Paige remained out of action Monday Night On Raw, but watched on from ringside as Sasha Banks took on Sonya Deville.

Unfortunately for Sasha Banks, she was leveled by a kick to the ribs during the match between her and Deville, which resulted in Deville picking up a surprise three count on the four time Women’s Champion. While the loss at the hands of Deville doesn’t completely destroy Sasha Bank’s chances of going on to win the first ever women’s Royal Rumble, it does seem to show that WWE is more interested in pushing Deville right now.

Whether that is due to Sasha Banks accidentally injuring Paige at the house show or not remains to be seen, but it is worth noting that this is the first clean loss Banks has taken since her feud with Absolution began. Sure, Banks has lost before at the hands of Absolution, but never after  one deciding strike to the ribs. In the end, its going to be interesting to see where WWE goes with this and what happens to Banks in the meantime.

What are your thoughts? Do you think WWE is punishing Sasha Banks now that one of their top stars is forced to retire from in ring competition? Let us know in the comments below!
