Top Five Unlucky NASCAR Drivers So Far This Season

#5 Trevor Bayne

Not only does Trevor Bayne deserve a spot on this list for his absolutely abysmal performance so far this season, but also due to the fact that he is slowly being transitioned out of his ride at Roush Fenway racing in favor of Matt Kenseth. As if that isn’t bad enough, The former Daytona 500 winner keeps losing seat time and it looks like that trend will continue.

With that being said, Bayne stands¬† at zero top-fives, zero top-tens and only a best finish of 12th at Texas Motor Speedway. Another problem with Bayne is that he has three DNF’s this season and is has rarely been able to finish in the top-20 when he is given the seat time to prove his worth to the team.

In the end, Bayne was already extremely behind his teammates in the point standings before he lost his ride to Kenseth and the fact that he continues flounder is proof positive that his days are numbered at RFR. In fact, some are speculating that Bayne will be replaced by Kenseth at the end of the 2018  season, which will put him without a ride.
