#3 Aric Almirola
Maybe its the fact that he was only signed to a one year contract to drive for SHR or maybe its the fact that he was one fluke win to his name, but Aric Almirola’s job prospects just don’t seem all that solid past the 2018 season. Not only is that evident from his side lining after a devastating incident at Kansas Speedway, but also from the fact that he hasn’t had a points finish above 20th in the last two years.
Of course last years finish in the points from due to the back injury, but he really didn’t prove he deserved the ride when he returned either. With that being said, RPM replaced him with Darrell Wallace and Almirola moved to SHR with one last chance to prove his worth. In the end though, SHR is already struggling to keep Kurt Busch, Clint Bowyer and Kevin Harvick competitive, which could result in Almirola suffering the same fate.
