Top Five Best and Worst Moments Of The 2018 NASCAR Season

Best Darrell Wallace Jr finishing second in the Daytona 500

There was a lot of pressure on Darrell Wallace Jr to perform in his first full year in The Cup Series and while he succomed to that pressure countless times during his rookie season, he lived up to it in the 2018 Daytona 500. In fact, Darrell Wallace Jr’s second place finish at in the Daytona 500 was nothing short of amazing, especially since the young driver didn’t have the best equipment behind him, and even more so due to his inexperience at The Cup level.

With that being said, it was a moment that Wallace Jr had deserved for a long time and will hopefully be indicative of future great things to come. Unfortunately for Darrell Wallace Jr, he was never exactly able to replicate the success he had early on in the season,  and finished the year in 28th place. He did manage to finish in the top ten two more times though and was even signed to Richard Petty Motorsports for his performance in his rookie season.
