Con: Too luck based.
Restrictor plates might be the begging of leveling the playing field for all three levels of NASCAR, but is that really a good thing? Although some longtime fans might actually enjoy this change, especially since it will make more weekends feel like that of Talladega and Daytona, it creates situations where a win is based more on luck then dominance.
In fact, implementing restrictor plates at more tracks essentially eliminates a dominant cars advantage over the rest of the field and puts the race more in the hands of the driver and the team. Of course some people will love that idea and it might create a lot more first time winners along the way, but its at the expense of drivers that dominate week in and week out.
