Kyle Busch is a opinionated fellow.
Not only did he prove that with this epic twitter rants after Sunday’s race at Fontana, especially with the former Cup Series champion even cracking jokes on himself, he also proved it this week during a tire test at the new Charlotte Motor Speedway roval. Busch, like other drivers that have tested on the new roval playoff track, have had a few suggestions on how to make the racing better and Busch had another one when he tested last week there.
Interestingly enough, Kyle Busch went to Speedway Corp CEO, Marcus Smith and suggested to him that a few key turns on the track be changed. Its not exactly know which part of the track Busch has a problem with or what suggestions he has offered to fix them, but it is worth mentioning that Busch claims NASCAR already has a few idea to fix the problem.
With that being said, The Fall playoff race at Charlotte Motor Speedway is going to make history as the first road course in The Playoffs and its pretty reasonable for drivers to have opinions on how the layout should be. In fact, Martin Truex Jr and several others tested at the new roval during the off season and made many suggestions of their own to make the new track perfect.
In the end, hopefully the proposed changes lead to great racing and a memorable finish for the first road course race in modern day playoff history. If not however, NASCAR is going to have to either tweak the race layout once again or take the race out of the equation completely. What are your thoughts? Do you think NASCAR can turn this race into a success or will it be out of the playoff lineup by the end of the year.
