Five Things You Probably Didn’t Know About The Patriots 42-27 Loss Against The Chiefs

What a way to kick off The NFL season!

While it looked like Tom Brady and company had the game almost locked up in the third quarter after a beautiful 54 yard pass from Brady to Cook that put the Patriots in Chiefs territory, the drive lost all of its momentum after Brady was called for a forward motion penalty that nullified what would have been his first touchdown of the game and forced New England to kick a field goal.

Things only got worse from there after Kevin hunt went on a 13 yard run to keep the clock running and move the chains for The Chiefs. That was followed up with a 78 yard hail Mary Touchdown pass from Smith to Hunt, which gave The Chiefs a 31-27 lead in the fourth quarter. Of course this forced Brady to become more erratic with his throwing and ultimately resulted in New England getting backed up to their own goal line and almost being hit with a safety.

The Chiefs continued their dominance with two more touchdowns and the game eventually ended with The Chiefs toppling the Super Bowl champion Patriots 42-27. With that being said and all the implications that come with a loss like this for The Patriots and a win like this for The Chiefs, here are five things you may have missed during Thursday night’s NFL season premiere.
