Brian France, the longtime CEO of NASCAR was arrested over the weekend in Sag Harbor New York after being pulled over and found to be intoxicated. France was then given a field sobriety test, but failed multiple times. He was later determined that his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit.
The news of Brian’s arrest came only hours after Chase Elliott pulled away to win the first Cup Series race of his career, which has only served as a distraction for what was supposed to be a celebration in the NASCAR world. Unfortunately for NASCAR fans, they now have to deal with what a future without Brian France will look like now that he has taken an indefinite leave of absence.
