Five Reasons Why Chase Elliott Is The Biggest Bust In NASCAR History

#4 Playoff record.

Chase Elliott might have qualified for the playoffs in each of his first three seasons at The Monster Energy Cup Series level, but he has never made it to the final round and his performance has dropped season after season as well. Elliott finished tenth in the playoffs the first season and managed to finish fifth the second year, but has seriously struggled to make it past that point.

While Elliott is still growing as a driver and is arguably one of the most consistent stars out on the track, his lack of killer instinct to make it to the final round is seriously troubling given how big of a star he is supposed to be. In the end, things can always change and Elliott could go on the streak of a lifetime in the same way that Jimmie Johnson did, but its becoming less and less likely by the year.
