#5 Not enough cars.
If NASCAR is really interested in taking advantage of their new restrictor plate package at Lowe’s Motor Speedway then they definitely need to lower the qualifications for drivers to compete in The All Star race. Not only will doing so create more exciting racing from the front of the field to the back, it also allows smaller teams to join in on the fun and win a million dollars.
Sure, 21 cars was an excellent start to things, especially with the close quarters racing fans were treated to on Saturday, but imagine if NASCAR was able to put an entire field of 43 cars out there. Maybe some would argue that doing that would be unfair due to the race being short, but driver seemed to have no problem going from the back to the front several times on Saturday.
