#2 Lack of fan interest.
Then there’s the lack of fan interest.
Of course this is usually a problem with any sport’s all star event, especially with the dilemma of how to make things interesting, but NASCAR fans just don’t seem to be into it. In fact, a lot of fans have been so thrown off by the multitude of changes made to the event over the years that they end up just skipping it and waiting next week for the 600.
That’s not a good thing and points back to the fact that NASCAR probably should just save money and not host the event at all. At least by doing that, they don’t have to embarrass themselves on national television and prove without a shadow of a doubt that they have no idea what the hell they are doing.
