#2 Texas Motor Speedway scrapped from main channel.
While Texas Motor Speedway was originally one of the final races of the season that was broadcast on NBC, it was moved to NBCSN in 2017 and will be so once again in 2018. Not only is that an example of how NASCAR has lost ground in their supposedly lucrative contract with NBC, it also takes one of the final races of the year and puts it where some fans cant get to it.
In the end, NASCAR odiously isn’t a very lucrative property for NBC and their network and would be much better off looking for greener pastures when their contract is up with the media giant. If NASCAR can’t even get three of their final playoff races on the main channel, then there is little point to this partnership.
