#5 Putting the pressure on him.
Believe it or not, the second that Chase Elliott crossed the start finish line at Watkins Glen, people were already starting to talk about his second win. In fact, others were going on and on about how he was good for the sport and would turn out ot be one of its most popular entities. If nothing else, that’s a lot of expectation to put on a guy that won his first race.
Of course maybe Elliott should be given a bit of a break since his win was at a road course, but people have to realize how meaningless it all is in regards to the rest of the season. Not only is that evident by the fact that there is only one road course in the entire playoffs, but also by the fact that Chase Elliott still doesn’t have his first oval win.
