Not only does the potential buyer of NASCAR have the most to lose from this purchase, they also have the most to gain from it too! In fact, if the new owner could manage to bring NASCAR back to the way it used to be before the playoffs, before The Chase, before stage racing and everything else, they could bring back older fans, which would make it a much more powerful entity.
The new owner could also continue NASCAR’s streak of buying up smaller entities to tie into their conglomerate, which could also be lucrative if its marketed right. Whether any of this happens or not remains to be seen and will dependent on if the rumors are true or not, but if they are indeed true, it would make sense that the new owner would want to appeal to the longtime fans that have been ostracized.
