Whether Jimmie Johnson fans want to admit it or not, it is time for King Johnson to descend from the throne and help set the stage for the future of the sport. While some might think that Johnson still has a little bit something left in the gas tank before bowing out, he currently sits 14th in points, only has three top-tens in ten races and has struggled to get any kind of momentum going.

It might not happen right away, especially since Johnson is keen on winning his record breaking eighth championship that will put him above Earnhardt and Petty on the all time champions list, but it is going to happen sooner or later in order to make room for the future of NASCAR!
