Five NASCAR Teams That Should Split Seat Time Between Two Drivers


Matt Kenseth and Roush Fenway Racing shocked the racing world last week when they announced that the former Cup Series champion would be returning to split seat time with Trevor Bayne for the rest of 2018, and while the decision has to be bummer for Bayne, it also might be an opportunity to start a trend in NASCAR.

Whether fans want to admit it or not, there are certain drivers in The Cup Series field right now that would greatly benefit from such a move and might come away better for doing so. In fact, Jack Roush even admitted in his press conference about Matt Kenseth returning to The Cup Series that the move was done to elevate the entire team and show them what they’re missing.
