Will: William Byron.
Its no secret that some NASCAR fans are disappointing about William Byron not having a breakout rookie year, but it doesn’t look like that will be the case moving forward. In fact, between a year of Cup Series racing under his belt, Hendrick equipment under the hood and Chad Knaus on top of the pit box, the sky seems to be the limit for the young driver in 2019.
With that being said, Rick Hendrick isn’t going to put just anyone with seven time Cup Series champion crew chief, Chad Knaus, which likely means that Papa Hendrick wants Byron for the long haul. In the end, that’s a good sign of things to come for the rookie driver and might even be the star of a championship run if everything comes together in 2019.
