Everyone knew that William Bryon and his #24 team would face some struggles as they tried to gel and get Bryon competitive, but who knew it was going to be this long? While a lot of this probably has to do with how much he was hyped up during the preseason along with the rest of incoming rookies, Byron needs to take some kind of blame in all this.
In fact, Byron has only nabbed one top ten this season, which is the worst stat record of any driver at Hendrick Motorsports right now. Byron is also the lowest in the point standings right and is in series danger of not making the playoffs. Not only would that be disappointing for NASCAR’s next big thing, but doesn’t set a good precedent for later on either.
