#4 Trevor Bayne
Stewart Haas Racing has a history of rejuvenating NASCAR drivers careers and could very well do the same with Trevor Bayne. While some might see Bayne as undeserving of the role, especially with his performance so far in 2018, a new ride and a new team might be what the young guy needs to turn things around.
Think about it! Matt Kenseth himself has gotten into Roush Fenway Racing’s equipment this season and hasn’t managed a top-ten at the time of this writing. If nothing else, that has to mean there is something wrong at Roush Fenway Racing and that Bayne might just be the victim of bad equipment and not be as bad a driver as originally thought.
In the end, it would really be a chance to hit the restart button on Bayne’s career, much like Almirola had a chance to in 2018 and it could be the start of finally being competitive at the Cup level for the former Daytona 500 winner.
