#4 Alex Bowman.
Alex Bowman might have struggled a bit this year, but he currently stands with two top-five, eight top-ten’s and a chance to compete in his first every Cup Series playoffs. Not only is that a big deal for a driver that has had a troubled history finding a quality ride, it also sets the stage for Bowman to prove he deserves to be a permanent fixture at Hendrick Motorsports.
With that being said, Bowman sits 15th in the Cup Series standings and has a 62 point lead over the cut line. Of course that points lead could easily be cut down at tracks like Indianapolis, Bristol and Darlington, but Dale Jr and Rick Hendrick put Bowman in the #88 for a reason and it seems like that has been his poise. and ability to get the job done.
