Five Drivers That Should Lose Their Ride If They Don’t Perform In 2018.

#1 Kurt Busch

Kurt Busch signed a one year extension on his contract during the off season, but with only one win to his name in 2017 and a first round elimination during the playoffs, one has to wonder what exactly he did to deserve it. Yes, the race he won was The Daytona 500, but that race was more about being in the right place at the right time and less about actually having the car to win.

Of course that’s not to say that his Daytona 500 victory wasn’t a huge accomplishment for former Cup Series champion and no doubt made  their new sponsor, Monster Energy,  look great out of the gate, but he was never able to recreate that success again. In fact, it took until the fall race at Kansas for Busch to even get his first second place finish of the year.

In the end, SHR was smart to only sign him to a one year deal and they probably need to look for another option once the 2018 season is over in November. What are your thoughts? Do you think all these drivers belong on this list? If so, why? Let us know why in the comments below!
