Five Drivers That NASCAR Must Punish After The Coke Zero Sugar 400

Martin Treux Jr

Martin Truex Jr may have come up short in Saturday night’s wreckfest at Daytona International Speedway, but he still had the last lap when he called out ISC( International Speedway Corp) for their continued promotion of young drivers dominating the sport. Truex Jr let ISC and all of NASCAR know what he thought of that in a post race interview where he said,”

“Maybe ISC and those guys can be a little happier.”

The comment was in response to what he thought about Erik Jones willing the race at Daytona and what he believes it will mean for the future. Of course Truex Jr’s message to ISC was a little tongue and cheek, but its obvious that he and a lot of other drivers have issues about how NASCAR is portraying this young gun movement.

In the end, NASCAR needs to have a talk with him about the future of the sport and his role in that future. They also might want to get Truex Jr’s thoughts on how the sport can give veteran drivers better coverage, but htat might not be apart of NASCAR’s plan in the long run.
