#1 Steve Park.
How do you go from Dale Earnhardt offering you a chance to drive for his Xfinity Series team to burning out after a couple of years in The Cup Series? Believe it or not, Steve Park experienced all of this in his career, but only had two wins, 12 top-five’s and 35 top-ten’s, 4 poles and a best finish of 11th in the points to show for it at the end of his career.
Again, it’s insane to believe that Dale Earnhardt saw so much in a guy that failed to make that much of a impact in NASCAR, but it actually happened. With that being said it’s not that Park didn’t carve out a pretty decent career for himself, especially with three wins, 15 top-fives and 29 top-tens in The Xfinity Series, but one would think that a guy handpicked by Earnhardt would be capable of much more!
He did finish 3rd in the 1997 Xfinity Series point though.
